Iris

Meet Iris. The gentle and sweet 1 yr old mixed breed. Iris is very shy and it takes her time to warm up to new people and environments. Iris has been in the shelter system since December of 2023. Which means she has basically grown up knowing nothing but the loud, stressful shelter environment. When Iris came to us, she was pretty shut down and would cower next to the wall. She has made great strides and is starting to come out of her shell a little more every day. She will need a patient and loving home that can help her continue to build confidence and give her a safe home where she can feel secure. Despite her shyness, she is incredibly sweet and loves to give kisses. She enjoys stuffies and has done very well with other dogs. A calm dog savvy dog would be great to help her build confidence and learn the ropes around a house.
