INDIGO

I am a sweet mama dog who came in with 2 puppies. I have been spayed and I'm ready for a new furever home. I am calm and walk well on a leash. I enjoy being with humans and enjoy ear scratches and belly rubs. Since I came in with dogs, I may do well in a new home with other, friendly dogs but I'll need slow, careful introductions to any other pets or people in a new home. OCAS cannot test with cats or children, which is why they put so much importance on proper introductions. But I appear to be a real sweetie so they think I'll make a great companion for some lucky humans! Insights from her caretakers: Look at that smile! She is a wonderful dog. She is great on a leash, has gentle energy, and is just an overall happy girl. Her medium size makes her perfect for snuggling. She is very smart and already shows 'sit', 'shake', and 'down' and is very treat motivated. She understands the command 'Look!' when you need her attention and she is easily redirected. She has shown to be very easy and playful around other dogs (especially with curious puppies who want to kiss her face or crawl on her!) but of course slow and careful introductions to new pets are always necessary.
