**adopted*Update 12/20/08...India is now at her ideal weight and is waiting for a family to call her own....India is about 4 years old and is a Westie mix. When she came to us she weighed 19 pounds but should weigh 25-30. India was kept tied to a pole where she was impregnated and had 6 puppies. She was so dehydrated that she eventually lost all 6. Despite all this she is a sweet, loving dog. She's getting used to being in a house and she's very happy to not be alone. India is a little shy at first, especially with the camera, but she's making excellent progress. She has one unusual characteristic - one brown eye and one blue eye. Don't worry though, she sees just fine. She is good with other dogs, but we don't know if she's been around cats or kids. She plays with toys but is a little nervous if they squeak. India is a very quiet girl and doesn't like it when things get chaotic and noisy. She would do best in a calm home that has plenty of time to pet her. She will sleep in a kennel if necessary but once she feels safe enough to relax she curls up on the bed. It will take a little time and patience, but this diamond in the rough is worth it. India is spayed, shots updated, treated for fleas, wormed and vet checked. A donation of $125 for medical work is her adoption fee.
