My Story

Indi was overheating when he was brought into us as a stray. He is now safe in our care, with a roof over his head and air conditioning blowing. He would love to be in a home, but at least until then, he's better off than before he came to us. This handsome dude is a medium/large size dog at 50 pounds and us estimated to be about 2 years old. We're still learning more about him, but we have observed that he seems to be potty trained!!! A volunteer who has taken a liking to this fella had the following to say: "Indi is the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, gentle, wagging tail, super friendly. I think he would do great in an intro with kids. Let's get him out before he gets wild!" For anyone looking for a lost pet or considering adoption or fostering, we encourage you to make regular visits to the shelter. Please note that this website is updated every 24 hours and may not include all the animals available at CARE STL. If you are interested in a specific dog, such as (name of dog), we invite you to stop by the CARE STL Adoption Center located at 2700 Walnut Pl, 63103. Simply ask for more details about the particular animal you are interested in.
