My Story

Name: Incheol Age: Estimated 6 months Sex: Neutered Male Weight: 24 lbs Energy Level: Medium-High More Pictures and Videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/3cyB7NgZ8inCbowN8] Rescue Story: Incheol was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea and is currently being fostered there, waiting for his forever home. He will fly to the US once he finds a suitable home! Approved applicants will have a two-week trial period to ensure the commitment and match. Personality & Behavior: - Friendly and Affectionate: Incheol loves approaching people of all ages and genders without hesitation. He enjoys being petted and loves snuggling up to human hands. - Social Butterfly: Incheol gets along well with both large and small dogs. He is friendly and social but may attempt mounting, which might make other dogs uncomfortable. He is non-reactive to birds and small animals during walks. - Good with Children: He interacts well with elementary school-aged children. - Car Rides: Incheol handles car rides well and usually sleeps during the journey, although he may move around out of curiosity. Training & Habits: - Leash Skills: Incheol walks well on a leash without pulling but might need guidance when encountering other dogs. - House Training: He prefers outdoor pottying for both urine and feces. Indoor pee pad use is about 50% successful. As a puppy, he might struggle to hold his bladder for long periods. - Bathing & Grooming: Incheol dislikes water and tries to escape during baths, seeking comfort from people. He is still getting used to tooth brushing. - Food & Treats: Incheol is currently fed Royal Canin Puppy food. He enjoys pork, cheese, beef liver, chicken, and tuna treats, preferring meat-based snacks over carbohydrates. - Incheol has shown distress when left alone, including whining, howling, and restlessness after about 10 minutes. This behavior was observed during a one-hour trial, suggesting that he may need gradual training to cope with being alone. Ideal Home: - Companionship: Incheol thrives on companionship and is most content in a home where he can spend plenty of time with his family. He experiences separation anxiety when left alone but is OK when another dog is in the house. - Training Potential: He is intelligent and food-motivated, making him highly trainable with consistent effort. - Ideal Companion Dog: An older, patient dog that can tolerate Incheol’s playful behavior would be an ideal companion. - Monitoring: Monitoring during meal times is recommended as Incheol might occasionally show food-guarding behavior. Adoption Information: Never Alone Animal Rescue offers a two-week trial period to approved applicants to ensure the right match and commitment.
