DOB 4/29/15 WEIGHT: approx. 11 lbs MY STORY: This little cutie is Inari and we are so excited she has joined us at Atchee's Foster Shack. Inari is a 9yo female Shih Tzu & Bichon Frise Mix. She is all of 10lbs. She looks much larger in her pictures but is quite dainty with soft, fluffy black and white fur. Inari is just a sweetheart. She is a quiet, gentle, calm adult pup looking for a patient family who will understand her challenges and allow her the time to find her way in this new, scary world. She would greatly benefit from another dog in the house to show her the ropes. Inari is a breeder-release pup trying to transition from a breeder environment to a new home where she's learning to trust and feel safe. Understandably, she's cautious and anxious given her background. She tries to be close to us and follows us around but will run away as soon as we show her any interest or try to pick her up. She pants and shakes when she becomes overwhelmed. She spends much of her time in her crate as it is her safe space. In our short time together we have learned that Inari loves her food, has been doing all her business outside, tolerates a bath, walks on a leash, can navigate the stairs, does very well with other dogs, sleeps quietly through the night, and has a clean crate in the morning! Such a good girl! Continue to follow Inari's journey as she is on her way to a brighter future! ? She is a breeder release and will need extra time and patience. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess. WI License #270548.
