Meet Idaho! Despite his name, Idaho is no couch potato. This boy is a Grade-A hiking buddy. He and his foster go on looong hikes throughout various national parks, and Idaho has a blast in each and every one of them. He is super attentive to his foster and great with recall. He loves to splash in any body of water, and has even been kayaking! And he's the best stick-finder around. His foster often has to gently tell him he can't bring half a tree home with him. But the best part of hiking is all the new friends he gets to make along the way! In short, Idaho is an energetic, adventurous, brave boy who would love to be an active owner's loyal sidekick for the rest of his days. Idaho isn't all get-up-and-go, though. He enjoys crashing on the couch as much as anyone. Despite his chonkness, he is convinced he makes a pretty good lap dog, too. He's perfectly happy on his own chewing with a tennis ball or squeaky toy. He is crate- and house-trained. When left to his own devices, he'll often end up curled up in his foster's bed. (Of course when he wakes up, it's Game On.) Idaho would do best with a fenced-in yard or frequent walks. We would not recommend him for a home with cats or dogs. He does great with children out on the trail, but doesn't know his own size, so he might be too much for young kids. Idaho does have food allergies that can cause his skin to break out, but we have a list of his allergens and a food that works for him. We believe Idaho is an American Bully/pit mix. He is estimated to be 5.5 years old as of July 2024. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application and home visit, his adoption fee is $106.
