My Story

This little doll is around 11 or so pounds & just a year or so old. He is doing great on his housetraining here & is crate trained.
Icicle is as near perfect a dog as any rescue/foster dog I've had contact with. He simply has no issues. He is very smart and learns very quickly, not only from his human companions, but his surrogate canine family as well. He has nearly learned to sit up and beg for his treat after only 3 or 4 days. He loves everyone he encounters and is a great companion to any other dog or dogs. Icicle is already very well house/potty trained and is crate trained as well. With all things considered--looks, smarts, personality, and so on, only one word is needed to describe this little guy--BEAUTIFUL!

Due to having treated several heartworm positive dogs recently, we DO require past proof of h/w tests & preventative given if you own a dog. We do NOT consider it proof if you have just had the h/w test done or bought preventative for the first time prior to or after putting in an application.

Out of the Area? We will gladly do a "long distance" adoption, however we do not ship our dogs. We expect you to come and pick up your dog. Family members or friends are not allowed to pick up the dog unless the adopter is with them. We will not consider an adoption out of area without a vet and groomer reference.

We do not place dogs in homes with toddlers and babies. Please read the shelter home page for placement restrictions prior to submitting an application. Our group does have a policy of only placing dogs in homes where all pets are spayed or neutered.

Our Adoption fees are based on the age of the dog and range from $350 to $200 each, and are used to pay the vet expenses. All dogs are up to date on shots, heartworm negative, spayed or neutered and any known problems are treated before they can be adopted. Last year our vet bills were $3000. higher than our adoption fees, so we are not able to adopt dogs without an adoption fee.
