My Story

Huckleberry and Snow were stray dogs wandering around the harbor where many irresponsible owners abandon their pets when they don't want them anymore. Huckleberry and Snow had been there since they were two months old. The workers there told the rescuer that a young motorcyclist dumped the two puppies, then rode off at top speed.

Huckleberry is bigger so he could look for food here and there whereas Snow is so small that she really had a hard time surviving from the harsh surroundings. Last month Snow had an accident, which caused her to have a fractured hind left leg. Afer the surgery, Snow is doing fine but still limping in one of her hind legs. Huckleberry is very smart. When Snow had the accident, he kept barking to catch the attention of people.

A kind man found the puppies and took them to the vet. Snow had x-rays taken and later surgery. She is now walking very well with her three legs.

Huckleberry is 4-5 months old and about 15 lbs. We don't know his exact breed nor how big he will get but probably around a smallish-medium size. He is very sweet and gets along with other dogs. He is current on shots, microchipped, and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Huckleberry is part of our international rescue efforts working in conjunction with The Animal Rescue Team in Taiwan. Visit www.PetitePawz.org for more information.

Foster: If you are interested in providing a foster home until a permanent home can be found, please email your completed Foster Form so that we can best ensure you are matched with the right foster dog. If you would like to foster with the intent of adopting the dog if it works out, please complete an Adoption Application instead of the Foster Form.

Adopt:: We ask interested adopters to please tell us a little about yourself by completing an Adoption Application. There is a $250 adoption fee which goes to help cover a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A homecheck will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them.
