My Story

As her name suggests, Hope is hoping there will be a happy home for her out there. Estimates of her age range from 6 to 8. She does have a cataract in her left eye but we understand that rather young dogs can have them. She seems to see fine in spite of it. She is otherwise seemingly very healthy. To call her "sweet" is an understatement and everyone who sees her usually exclaims on her sweet disposition. Then "she's so cute" or "little" quickly follow. She is all these things. Under 9 lbs., she is about the size of a small cat. We think she is part Chihuahua and part Westie and maybe some poodle, but that's just a guess. She is white with light brown across her back and after a close trim her coat is growing out fluffy and curly. She has turned out to be a non-shedder, a real plus factor for some. She adores being held and petted and although she was apparently never taught to play with toys, she still has a lively frisky manner and seems quite puppyish. But she does like to laze around close by a good deal. Because she is so small, a home with a single adult or a couple or maybe some gentle older children might work best. She is housebroken and crate trained and I'm teaching her to take walks which are new to her. She will want to bond with someone deeply. Can Hope hope to take your heart?
