Name: Honcho Best Guess for Breed: Feist and chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of 8/1/24 SEX: Male Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 5 lbs as of 7/1/24 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs and cats so long as they receive patience and proper training. We would be cautious placing Honcho in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. Currently Living at: Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here! Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Honcho is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Honcho and I want to assure you that I do NOT want to be a honcho, head or otherwise. I'm just a puppy and I want all the good things that all puppies want - play time and cuddles! I'm also looking for long sniffy walks and romps in the park and all the adventures my humans can dream up. And I'd love to go to puppy school to learn how to be the bestest boy. I do not want to attend board meetings, manage a big budget, or be lied to by flunkies and yes-men. So - a name change would be in order as well. I'm looking forward to knowing where I belong, knowing I'm safe and loved, and being a loyal companion. I won't grow to be really big so maybe you and I could see about the whole lap-dog thing too.
