Holly (ADOPTED!)

Holly is a darling little girl, around 18 months to two years of age.
Holly is doing great on her housetraining & does well with other dogs, as long as she gets her loving.
Holly needed surgery to fix her knee, but is now all ready to go to her new home.

Due to having treated several heartworm positive dogs recently, we DO require past proof of h/w tests & preventative given if you own a dog. We do NOT consider it proof if you have just had the h/w test done or bought preventative for the first time prior to or after putting in an application.

Out of the Area? We will gladly do a "long distance" adoption, however we do not ship our dogs. We expect you to come and pick up your dog. Holly is fosterd in Kansas (6 hours from St. Louis), so the adopter would have to travel here if approved. Family members or friends are not allowed to pick up the dog unless the adopter is with them. We will not consider an adoption out of area without a vet and groomer reference.

We do not place dogs in homes with toddlers and babies. Please read the shelter home page for placement restrictions prior to submitting an application.

Our Adoption fees are based on the age of the dog and range from $350 to $200 each, and are used to pay the vet expenses. All dogs are up to date on shots, heartworm negative, spayed or neutered and any known problems are treated before they can be adopted. Last year our vet bills were $3000. higher than our adoption fees, so we are not able to adopt dogs without an adoption fee.
