My Story

Arrival story:Hogan was pulled from an upnorth shelter where he had been looking for a home for a couple of weeks

Approximate age:Almost Five months old and 32 pounds. He has a beautiful coat (thanks to good food) and has a long tail that is starting to curl up. We expect him to be a large full grown dog at about 60-70 pounds, very lablike size.

Personality: Hogan is adjusting to his foster home very well. He has a few doggie friends and loves to play with them. He in not a high energy dog, but does have "zing" moments, which is common for all puppies. This is when they get a burst of playfulness and run around happily. Hogan is very people friendly and a very curious boy. He loves watching the airplanes and birds and has a very cool prance to his walk.

Forever home:Hogan would probably do well with another doggie buddy. He absolutely loves to play outside and will need a fenced in yard. Hogan seems to love children, but real little ones would probably be knocked over because of his growing size.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, $275 for small breed dogs or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check
www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at PetSmart in Canton (the northwest corner of Ford Rd and Haggerty Rd). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
