Hershey was found wandering in a matted mess on West End Avenue in downtown Nashville where he was rescued and fully vetted. He was so matted he had to be shaved, but he loves his svelte new figure and shows it off whenever he can! He weighs 45 lbs and is about 7-8 years old, so he is fully grown. He is very agile and playful, and loves to silently command the neighborhood from atop the patio furniture on the back deck of his foster home (he is actually pretty quiet, not 'barky' like some dogs.) This dog will fit a nice mellow home that wants a Sleep at your feet kind of boy. Hershey is good with people of all ages and other dogs. He plays incessantly with his foster brother and sister, both smaller than he is. His eyes are very patient and kind, and he just wants to be petted and loved on - he seems to be fine in all areas I have seen - he is not food aggressive or toy aggressive. He has been to Crockett Park and was friendly with all comers - a gentle leader head collar seemed to work fairly well with him, as he is not used to a regular leash yet. He loved the children sticking their hands into the crate to pet him at the church adoption day. He rides well in the car. He sleeps in a crate in the garage, is crate trained and does not bark. He walked right by my cat and pretty much ignored her, so I think that would be okay also.
