My Story

Hercules has been adopted!

Upon Arrival:
Hercules is in Washington waiting for someone to fall in love with him. At the moment he is in a shelter desperate for a foster or adoptive home so TnT Rescue hopes to help find that by posting his photo and information here.

We have been told the photo we have of him is not very flattering but we think he looks pretty darn cute. If he is even cutter in person we know he will find a great home with your help.

Hurc weights about 65 lbs and is a very young, puppy-like boy. He has had no obedience training but is eager to please so should pick up pretty quick on anything you teach him. He already knows sit, and is quickly learning to walk reasonably well on a leash. He will also sit when you stop walking.
Hercules craves human attention most of all and is a love bug. He even likes to climb up on the bench to sit beside volunteers that visit, putting his head on their shoulders to cuddle.
Hercules is such a love he would probably be satisfied with praise only to inspire him to learn new commands but right now treats are helping him learn too. He is very much a puppy. A very happy puppy whose tail never stops wagging!

Hercules was surrendered to the pound by his family because they said their apartment and yard were too small for him. We know that Herc would be fine with any size home or yard as long as his daily physical needs were met playing at the park or on hikes, jogging, or whatever.
Hercules gets along with other dogs and loves to get out to play with the dogs at the shelter. He was not so fond of the cat in his last home though. He can play a little rough with men or the other young dogs but gentle reminders to be gentle and slow down are all he needs to settle down. Once he gets out of a kennel, into a home and out for regular play he will not be so excited and will settle a be a bit calmer in play. One of the fellas at the kennels takes Hercules out each day for a big play to get rid of some of his energy and Herc loves it and him.
He is just a big love bug who needs a home!!!

Please contact us so we can put you in touch with Hercules! He is not too far and transport can always be arranged to the right home.
