Poor Henry! He was a stray picked up and put into a foster home in November of 2004 by a rescue group in Illinois. He didn't show well at their Adoption Days, so no one wanted Henry. So, here we are, trying to give Henry a better chance at a new life. He is not quite 2 years old, a Beagle mix, weighing in at about 40#.
Henry is a very nice boy. He shows very well at our adoption days, so we can't figure out what they were doing wrong. He knows SIT, COME, and he walks great on a leash with or without a Gentle Leader.
He would be a great jogging partner--he loves to RUN! He also enjoys lots of different toys. He needs mental stimulation because he's just so darn smart!
Henry has lived with other dogs and just ignores them. Henry has been around older children and enjoys the attention.
Please open your heart to give Henry a chance at a new life. He's been waiting a long time for that human-canine bond!
This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just let us know. If you have questions about the dog, please email us. Thank you!
