Heidi Walker

She was named Heidi Walker when we got her from the pound because of the big HW's dyed into her coat on either side. Luckily the HWs have gone and we are left with a loving girl who is so happy to be alive and loved. She is a foxhound and not a Walker hound. She is very sweet and gets along well with dogs, cats, kids and grown ups. She loves her crate and will go inside and stay for hours, even with the door wide open. She will not mess in her crate, even while we are gone all day at work, but she's still learning to be fully housebroken. She's getting there, though. She's about 7, we think. Because of the poor condition she was in when we got her (see the last picture) and probably before, her teeth were in such bad shape we can't be sure of her age. But she's had the necessary dental work and those she got to keep are in good shape. She does well on regular dry dog food and her front teeth are intact so don't let that stop you. She's now spayed and has had all her shots and worming and is ready to find a home where she will be loved forever. She is just such a happy girl--her whole body wiggles when she wags her tail.
