My Story

This poor little girl has a story to tell. Heidi was rescued from a kill shelter in Arkansas. When she arrived in CT she seemed to have a limp in a rear leg. We had our vet do some Xrays and found out the she had a fractured Tibia which nature was busy mending. Heidi must have been in excruciating pain when this was first fractured and had not seen a vet until we got her. Thankfully the fracture was well aligned so we had her leg splinted to stabilize the fracture and now she is completely recovered. Heidi is a young girl under 1 year old. She has the energy of several dogs and must go into a home that will supply her with plenty of exercise. A home with a nice big fenced in yard and another dog to play with would be ideal. You joggers and hikers should also consider this type of dog. She is sweet and smart and she should make a great pet for the proper adopter. Heidi is a small to medium size dog at about 25 lbs. Heidi has already been spayed, microchipped, wormed, has all her shots, and is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $375 to the right home and includes the $150 transport fee already paid to bring her to CT. Because she is so active, we will not adopt her into a home with children under 7 that could easily be knocked over. If you want to rescue a nice dog then this girl is it because she needs a special home. Please contact us and ask for a pre-adoption questionnaire if you are interested. We always reserve the right to pick a home we feel will be suitable to each particular dog. Heidi's name is now Ella and she now will be living the good life on a mini-farm in Simsbury !
