Heidi-adopted

Heidi is a Cafe Latte colored, 10 week old standard poodle female that is looking for a new forever home. She was born on Oct. 19, 2008. Her owner is moving to FL and is not able to take her with him. This sweet girl is full of playful energy and is very smart and loyal. She is UTD on all shots needing her 3rd round shot on the 18th. They have been dewormed and are on the path of being potty trained. They are great around kids and cats and other dogs. Heidi will make a great addition for some lucky family. Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
