Like my namesake in the children's book 'Heidi', I am an orphan. I'm not sure what that means, but I do know I have been alone and in lonely places. Did you know there is an asteroid named after Heidi? So I have a little planet out in space with my name!
We don't know a whole lot about me yet, it takes time to settle into a new place before a girl feels safe enough to let her true self come out. So far I seem to get along with other dogs, but no cats please! Older kids would be nice but I might bowl over the younger ones in my excitement trying to get close for attention. I have gone hungry for a long time so right now I am protective with my food, but only with other dogs.
I am crate trained and we don't know about house trained since I can't have free run of the house yet - we will see. My foster Mom says I am very loving and wonderful on a leash. That makes me so proud! If you need someone to alert you when there is commotion or strange people outside, I'm your girl! But once you check it out and tell me its OK and to be quiet, I mind real well.
Like an asteroid revolves around the sun, I need someone to be the center of my world. Please let it be you!
