HECTOR-ADOPTED!!!

***This handsome guy is currently in an exceptional foster home in Eastern WA (Yakima area.)*** Hector has a wonderfully inspiring story. This boy was found, with his siblings in an orchard two years ago. He was a scared, skinny boy who had never had any positive human contact. Hector was trapped and very timid when he came to his foster home. Having been lured into a dog crate by a couple of nice thick slices of bacon, a truck driver named Hector saw him in the crate and sneaked over to close the door.

Upon arriving at his new foster home, with 3 of his siblings, he was treated for ticks as he had several. The poor guy had experienced 8 months of neglect and it showed. He was too scared for his foster mom to get any where near petting him and kept his distance for several weeks.

Over the last two years, with much patience and love, Hector has transformed from a scared and hungry dog, into a SUPER affectionate, loving, house trained, healthy companion. Hector is now learning to walk on a leash nicely as well. He has been neutered and is up to date on all shots. Hector loves sleeping in his bed near his foster parents at night. No need for an alarm clock with him around, when he senses his foster mom is starting to wake, he helps move things along with gentle kisses from the side of the bed.

Hector has come a very long way, however is still a bit slow to warm up to newcomers. Within a few minutes however, he is greeting house guests with a nudge from his warm nose, asking for pets. Hector has not been on many car rides so is still working on traveling. Other than daily off-leash walks around his orchard, he prefers to stay in the comforts of his home and yard. Hector is now a loving and loyal companion who gets along well with all his doggie foster brothers and sisters. He even likes the house cat! (Notice Hector's favorite spot - water bed!!!)
