Hayzel

Hayzel came to us as an owner surrender when her and her sibling were no longer getting along and were starting to suffer from littermate syndrome. Hayzel and her sibling were starting to exhibit some negative behavior towards each other which is not uncommon in littermate syndrome. Hayzel has taken some time to adjust while at the shelter and has learned to trust those that interact with her on a regular basis. She is a very smart and even gentle girl who loves affection. She does take some time to warm up to new people and want to approach them. If you are interested in Hayzel, plan on coming out to meet her multiple times. She did live with kids, but it will again take her some time to get to know any one as she is anxious around new people. Hayzel does love to play tug and play with her ball or frisbee. She walks pretty well on leash but since she is a big girl, she will sometimes pull if she wants to go and investigate something. Hayzel weighs about 90lbs. She also does have hip dysplasia and sometimes has a bit of a limp.
