My Story

Harvey is what we think to be a Basset Hound mix of some type. He was pulled from a rural shelter before he was due to be gassed. Harvey is a very unique looking dog, he has a very large head and a short stumpy body which comes up to the knees of an average person. He is a sweet heart who thinks he is a lap dog. He loves to cuddle on the couch or try and climb in your lap. His energy level is not very high as it is probably hard for him to carry all of is weight around with such short legs. At a best guess Harvey weighs around 55 lbs or so. Harvey seems to do well with young children at all of our adoption events. He tolerates me pulling on his tail and ears as well as touching his paws. He does not show any aggressions or guarding behavior with his food or toys. A home with out cats or small dogs would be best as Harvey does not realize his size and strength. Right now he is in a foster home with 3 other dogs and a puppy and does well with all of them. Harvey is housebro ken and kennel trained. However, he does not like to sleep in his kennel at night, but will refrain from barking in it if he is left in his kennel during the day. He is already neutered and up to date on his shots. This sweet heart is a huge cuddle bug that wants someone to give him lots of love and attention. Please contact Lindsey at [email protected] if you have any questions regarding Harvey. THANK YOU JOAN!!!!!!
