HARLEY

ADOPTED 9/2006 HARLEY is new to the rescue. Her family is needing to find her a new home due to medical problems within the family. Harley is an approx. 52 lb, 19 month old, spayed female who is up to date on all of her shots and takes monthly heartworm prevention. She is very sweet and loves attention. She wants to be wherever people are, as she is very freindly and curious. She is a great guard dog and will bark when strangers come until getting to meet and sniff them out. She can be very active and loves to play but also enjoys laying in the sun or her favorite patio chair in our backyard. She loves to fetch and play chase and gets lots of exercise running in our backyard. She plays very nicely with our older male Dalmatian but has had little exposer to other dogs. The one time she was around other dogs (2 adult chocolate labs), she barked for a few minutes to establish dominance and spent the rest of the time playing. Harley is potty trained and will bark or scratch at the back door when she needs to go out. She never has acccidents in the house and rarely chews household items. She is also crate trained. We call it her "house" and she stays in it all night and when we are out of the home. She is never in it more that 3 or so hours however, since I don't work. She goes in willingly and even takes naps in there on her own sometimes. A Beggin Strip, her favorite snack, will get her in in a hurry. She also loves bones and pig ears. They keep her busy for awhile. Stuffed toys don't last long but are also a fun toy for her. Harley is very good with our 2 year old. She is loving, fun, energetic, healthy and beautiful!
