Hardy

Picked up stray in a nothern community and never claimed, Hardy was saved with just moments to spare before a booked euthanasia. He takes up the last of the space we have at the shelter but we just had to try to save him. He's male and approx 1-2 yrs old. He is a black lab cross and very friendly. Hardy is a nice dog, just a big pup really. He was housed with other dogs previously and did well and was ok with the vet's dogs. He loves food, so it would be a good idea to monitor him at feeding time when other animals or kids are near his bowl in case there may be some food aggression. He'll likely do well with an energetic doggy pal. Being food motivated will help with his obedience training also. He's not been cat tested yet. Apr 30 -He did good in the short vehicle ride over to his neuter appointment and when meeting the other dogs at the clinic. He likes to jump up and nip in play, so he was corrected a few times. He listened well to the correction but would benefit from obedience training. We will update his bio and photos as we spend more time with him. He received Nexgard for fleas and also was dewormed. Neutered, rabies and microchipped on April 30/24. Puppies that are not old enough to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption will require a $300 refundable (upon proof of surgery) spay/neuter deposit in the form of a post dated cheque or PAD form.
