Hardee has a mangled leg. It has multiple breaks. He had formed a "family with two other dogs while living on the street. They protected and cared for him during the nine weeks that it took to capture him. Of course, we could not leave them behind so his buddies are also sanctuary residents. He is currently in the hospital where our veterinarian is deciding if it is better to treat his leg or if it has to be removed.
