ADOPTED! - Greetings, Dear Person! My name is Hannah. I was turned in to the pound (with my two two newborn puppies) by a man who claimed he "found us in the woods". (I think he was really our owner, and he just didn't want us any more.) No one wanted to adopt a three-in-one package, so the pound was getting ready to push me and my little family into the gas chamber. (The third picture here shows me at the pound, when my pups--in the rubber bowl--were just two days old. I was so very, very sad. I had given up hope for them, and for myself as well.)
Fortunately, at the eleventh hour a wonderful rescue group saved me and my family! Do you believe in miracles? WELL, I CERTAINLY DO! (Just look at one of my other two pictures, taken recently. Don't I look a lot happier?) I've been a very dutiful, proud mom and my foster mom says I am extremely loving, mellow, patient, kind, laid back and smart! (They say I'm an "old soul". Do you know what THAT means?) Now that my pups are weaned and both have been adopted out, I am waiting for the right family to come along and adopt ME. I still young (about two years old) and I am the perfect size for a family (I weigh 55 lbs.). Plus I get along wonderfully with other dogs and cats (and older kids). I'd enjoy a large fenced-in yard to play in (please, no invisible fencing). I've been spayed and I'm up to date on shots, I've been wormed, heartworm tested, and microchipped. My adoption fee is just $250. Yes, I know I'm not a cute little fluffy white puppy, but....there are lots of advantages to adopting a young adult dog. Might YOU be the person who can see my inner beauty, and give me the "forever" home I am looking for? If so, please contact my foster mom (at
[email protected]) and tell her a little about yourself. Then, if she feels we'd be a good fit for each other, she will send you an adoption application.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" adjacent to the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and they are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name adjacent to this dog's photo) before contacting us.
