"My real name is Hanna, and I'm a beautiful brown and white Shih-Tzu, about 6 months old. My owner's dumped me here at the shelter today, so I'm available for immediate adoption . . . and I'm also really nervous in this scary, scary place. Do you know, there are a whole lot of dogs here right now, and they are all very, very noisy! Won't you come take me home with you??!"
