My Story

Meet Hank! He was abandoned by his owner and was living on the streets in Alexandria Egypt when rescued. Hank, was left outside without attention and much care. He faced the harsh heat without shelter and it was all because they said he had allergies and the onset of mange. Not sure why that constitutes leaving a dog outside, especially in the heat of Egypt. When rescuers learned of this dog, transport was sent to find him, and he was found outside of the gates to the main villas in his community. What they think happened is that they threw him out onto the streets and abandoned him. Then not knowing anything else, Hank found his way back to the only place he knew, and laid outside waiting for his owner to come and let him in the complex, which never happened. Here's a photo of him of him waiting. Hank was picked up and taken to a boarding facility and then transported to Egyptian Baladi Rescue and Rehabilitation in Cairo Egypt. He had his tests done and neutered and will be arriving to our rescue to find a home in the USA on July 17th He is coming to us free of charge from Stray Dog Support. Hank is 3 years old and is such a handsome boy who will make a great family member. We are waiting for his anemia and liver enzyme level to be back to normal before he leaves for his new home, which will be selected soon. If you are interested in getting qualified to adopt a golden retriever, the first step is to read "How to Adopt" at www.gr-rescue.org and follow the directions from there if qualified.
