Adoption Fee: $450.00 Our sweet boy Hudson is ready for his forever home. He’s come a long way in a short period of time from being abandoned and living 20 days in an apartment with someone only coming to fill the food dish. Hudson is an active 13 year old Pug/Beagle/Shar Pei mix. Like his mix of dog breeds his personality is a wonderful mix of loving, smart, loyal with a sprinkle of sass. Hudson’s best match would be an all adult home. He’s good with kids but he prefers a quieter home. He did live with 2 cats in his previous home. He’s good with other dogs but at this stage in his life we feel he deserves to have all the attention of his humans. We’d love for him to have a yard to romp around in and be able to take time to smell the roses. He’s never had the opportunity to have a nice secure backyard to enjoy. Hudson requires an experienced dog person while he is super sweet and loving he needs someone who has the experience of living with dogs and knowing dog behaviours. When Hudson first came into the rescue he had to relearn that doing his business was for the outdoors. Unfortunately he didn’t have a choice prior as he was left in an apartment for 20 days and was not taken outside. He would need someone to stay on top of this to keep him on tract ie taking him out on a regular schedule and being supervised when in the home. Resetting Hudson’s washroom habits with crate training has been great and quite successful. Hudson is very treat motivated, loves his stuffed toys and gets super excited when he gets his favourite treat a bully stick. He loves his walks and has a lot of pep in his step. He also loves to chill on the couch too. He’s good in the car and seems to enjoy car rides. We’ve fully vetted Hudson. He had surgery to remove some lumps and bumps as well he had a full dental scaling and polish. His bloodwork results were great and he’s heartworm and Lyme free.
