My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/gener. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Handsome (HAN0724SOPMD) Estimated Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle MIX Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 21 lbs Currently Living at: In Foster - Soaps - GA Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hello there! I'm Handsome, but don't let my name fool you, I'm not just a pretty face. I'm a very smart, friendly young chap and full of energy. I would love to have a fenced yard where I can run around, or find some humans who like to hike or run so I can get out there and burn some of it off. I love hanging out with my peeps and playing with my toys and making new friends. I'm quite good with other dogs, so I won't mind sharing the love in my new home. My favorite game? All of them (including "chase the cat" if I get the chance)! I could play all day, and when it's time to rest, I love a good cuddle. I'm house trained and crate trained, although I would rather be with you than in the crate. I'm really smart, too. I will even let you know when I need to go outside. My new home probably shouldn't have very young children -- not because I would want to hurt them, but when I get excited I sometimes play a bit rough and I might nip them or knock them over, all in good fun. If you adopt me, I promise to be your best friend. I'll bring joy, love, and loyalty into your life. Isn't that what everyone needs? Submit an application today, I can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
