Haku, aka "Mama" if you want a quicker reply, is a gentle and spry dog with expressive eyes. She loves roughhousing with our big 103-pound dog but isn't sure about smaller pups. Cats mostly get ignored, unless one growls at her, then she's polite. She's great with our 11-year-old kid and would probably dig younger ones too. She's cool with cuddling on the couch or chilling under the bed, but also likes her own space in a dog bed. Haku's a sucker for belly rubs and has this adorable grumble that sounds tough but really means "more pets, please!"
She's kinda shy about potty time and prefers a fenced yard or a long leash. When she's leashed too tight, it's like she forgets how to go. She's good at letting you know she needs out, pacing by the back door or giving you a little nudge. Haku's pretty smart-she'll sit, lay down, or go lay down when asked, especially if treats are involved! She is, overall, a really great dog- quiet, gentle, smart, and loving.
