If you wish to meet a pet shown here, please submit a letter of introduction via email to [email protected] describing the home you can provide. Please include such things as if you own or rent and what type of fencing you have. If no fencing include acreage. Also describe other pets and children in the home . Check your spam folder for replies. Keep in mind, we are two women with full time jobs, we volunteer to run this Rescue and foster these dogs in our homes. We have families and farms of our own we take care of as well. We will give you all the time we can but, ask for your patience and attention to detail to make the application process flow smoothly and as quickly as possible. Hadley is a 1 and 1/2-year-old female purebred Blue tick coonhound. She has now been spayed. We rescued her from a high kill overcrowded shelter out of Southern Utah. She caught a freedom ride with volunteers and made the 16-hour drive here over 2 days. Switching cars seven times and riding with two other dogs we pulled. She did excellent! She loves car rides. She loves people. She's never met a stranger. She absolutely loves other dogs of all types. She is curious and playful with the cats here and we'll chase ones that run but just bays at ones that stand their ground. Probably best in a home without cats. She's not aggressive or violent but she does want to chase them. She loves children. Coonhounds require secure fenced properties. They do best in homes with people who aren't opposed to the occasional singing session! She is very housebroken and crate trained and sleeps nicely and quietly through the night. She is particularly smart and learns after the first time, anything new that I've taught her. This is a bit of an anomaly for a coonhound, if you know the breed!
