My Story

Gus came to BHRG when his owners died after he'd been with them his entire life. The owner's children didn't want this 11-year-old gentleman so they were going to have him euthanized. Thank goodness Gus is with BHRG! This gent is healthy and is up-to-date on shots. He'd love to spend his retirement with a permanent family. Gus is a BIG boy - weighing 85 lbs - and is housetrained. He loves to snuggle and spoon with you. He thinks he is a little kid and wants to be part of your family. Just be careful, he will help you out with your fridge when you open it. Gus was always fixed his own plate at every meal. He wants to go with you every were you go, either work out in the yard, or to the grocery store. He can be snappy with other dogs if he thinks they are going to get "his" food. He will eat "dog" food, but it's not to his liking... your plate looks and smells better. Favorite sleeping spot....the front of the fridge door. For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
