Gucci has heaed to a great home in Squamish with a mastiff experienced couple! If all goes well with the homecheck he will be adopted shortly.
Baby, now dubbed Gucci by his foster home, is new to us from the Burnaby SPCA. Gucci is a wonderful 4 1/2 month old Cane Corso Cross. He has not had much socialization up to this point and is afraid of anything new. People, places, sounds. He in fear will roll over and pee himself. He has been getting a bit better as he learns to trust, but we have a long way to go. He is good with dogs he knows, scared of new dogs till he gets to know them, a good little eater and sleeper, mildly house trained, and good with cats.
He is in a mastiff experienced foster home to help him learn that the world is not such a terrible place. Baby will need continual work and commitment in order for him to become a more confident dog.
Baby will be looking for a mastiff experienced home who has the time to socialize him ALOT. He will need to attend mandatory puppy and basic obedience courses with his family to help him become well-socialized, and build that bond. He is looking for a home with a well-fenced yard, and no other male dogs, as Cane Corso's are prone to dog aggression and protection issues as they mature. Baby is smaller than a typical cane corso and will likely weigh under 80 lbs when mature.
