Meet staff favorite, Groot (AKA Grooty Tooty)! This handsome boy is an 8-year-old suspected Pitbull/Doberman Pinscher mix who came to us as an owner surrender. Grooty Tooty is the kind of dog you never forget! He is such a sweetheart and has so much love to pass around. Grooty loves his pink elephant toy and catching treats in the air. He can be afraid of new people at first, but once you win him over you have a best friend for life. We are currently looking for a foster home for this sweet love-bug. Groot has a unique situation, and is currently taking pain management medication because he has a suspected torn ligament in his knee and needs a full TPLO. He is also on medications for his skin allergies and anxiety. We would like to place Groot into a foster home while we prepare to get his surgery so he can have a safe and loving environment to recover in. Groot should be in a home without kids or cats, and any canine siblings need to have a low energy level.
