My Story

Grant was from a litter of 10 Bloodhound puppies in West Virginia whose owner died. They were born in a barn and kept in the yard of the owner, not fully socialized. Once they came into our rescue, our foster homes have been working patiently with the dogs to make sure they are comfortable with people. Grant's deformed front leg has been evaluated by an orthopedic vet. He gets along fine with it, and it doesn't stop him at all from playing with other dogs. We require the adoptive family to have a physical fence at least 5 ft high, no children under the age of 6, and patience to continue the socialization process. We will help with training. To obtain further information, please complete our online application found on our main website at www.midatlanticbassets.com. Once you receive your confirmation email, please forward a copy of that email to [email protected]. We will call you for an initial phone interview. Successful candidates will then be requested to set up a home visit.
