Gracie

Gracie Gracie's story is very different from most.. she was found at a shelter in Colorado by a person that used to live in Illinois. When she adopted her Gracie only weighed in at 38 pounds! She was a stray. The Colorado shelter was closing and one look at this sweet dog and she couldn't be left behind. Her new owner tried very hard to work with her "cat" problem but Gracie's prey drive is intense with cats and the new owner had 5 cats! So started her journey to Illinois. Gracie took a slight detour to become a companion for an older lady in Florida. Unfortunately, due to a stroke this home did not come through. She is waiting for a forever home without any cats (cats are a 4 letter word to her! food!) She is fine with larger dogs and all people, thought at this time she really hasn't been tested with smaller children. She knows some basic obedience, loves to sleep with her humans, will crate very well, and is very good with going outside on the grass. Gracie is not a playing kind of girl, she would much rather snuggle or hang with a human. We think she is about 5 years old.
