My Story

-GIZMO- Hi! I'm a cute little male 5-6 year old ShihTzu/Japanese Chin mix who will wiggle and wag my way into your heart! I'm a very bubbly and adorable dog, who's just got a doggy makeover so you can see just how cute I am under all the hair I had! Now, wait until you hear what a good boy I am- I am GREAT with other dogs, GREAT with kids (little ones, too!), housebroken, enjoy the car, love to sit in your lap, and love to play. I am a bubbly little dog with an outstanding personality to match (I hope you don't mind that I'm tooting my own horn a bit!). I'm not quite ready to go home yet, because somewhere along the line, I had an eye injury, so I'm going to have my one eye removed. Now this is NOT the end of the world for me! No no, not at all! The trauma my eye experienced is more than likely causing me pain, and I cannot see out of that eye at all anyway. So no eye= no pain! And my other eye works perfectly. And if I'm such a happy and bubbly boy now, imagine when I feel better! So check back for my new "do" after my makeover, and the rescue will post more info on my eye when we've seen the doc again. But with one eye or two, I'm a great catch, and will make someone VERY happy! Update: I had my eye removed 11/2/06, and everything went great. I am recovering and am on painkillers, because, well, let's face it- I hurt! But I am healing nicely and am totally unphased by only having one eye, and am playing and bouncing around the house like my old self once. I will be ready for adoption in 10-14 days, once my stitches are removed.
