Ginger

Ginger is super sweet and Mellow! She is good friends with Izzy the German Shepherd who is also in our care, they were found as strays together before being brought to a High Kill Texas shelter where they both found themselves on the euthanasia list. Thankfully we were able to save them and now they are safely in our care here in Michigan while they wait for a Forever home. It has been decided that Izzy and Ginger MUST be adopted together as they are very much bonded, they likely lived in the same household prior to being dumped on the streets in Texas. Ginger is projected to be about 5yrs old and weighs 80lbs. Both Izzy and Ginger are fixed, vaccinated, Potty and crate trained, they are also both very good on Leash! They would love a fenced in yard to run freely in, but would also do well in a home that plans to leash walk them a few times a day. These girls do NOT need much exercise as they are completely content just hanging out around the house all day. They are true "Couch Potatoes". Ginger does need to undergo Heartworm treatment, but no worries! We will pay for the entire treatment and schedule everything around your timeline, all you will have to do is administer oral meds 2x a day for 30 days, and get her to 3 vet appointments at our vet in Holland Michigan. If that schedule sounds like too much, we do offer a version of heartworm treatment called “Slow-Kill”, that wouldn’t require traveling back to our vet, but it does take longer to treat this way.
