My Story

If you want to help your own furkids and the homeless PALS kids, purchase a $20 First Aid Kit from the Grinnell Veterinary Clinic - 641-236-4461. Be sure to mention PALS and GVC will donate almost 50% of the purchase to PALS!

UPDATE:
Ginger's sister Abby has been adopted! Yay! But now poor Ginger is all on her own, and still looking for her furever home. Abby's new family was also so impressed by Ginger and everyone is trying hard to help Ginger find her home! If you visit with her, you will have a hard time leaving her behind!! Please call PALS at 641-236-4026 to find out about making this sweetheart a part of your family.

I am Ginger and I am a gorgeous 8-year-young lady. I won't be having any babies, thank you very much, and I am all up to date on my shots, so I am ready to spend the rest of my wonderful life in luxury and happiness with you!

Please bear with me as I am kind of having a bad hair day, but once it gets a chance to grow back in, my hair will glow like sunshine and be soft and cuddly! I think I weigh about 35 pounds, a great huggable size don't you think? But I guess I do need to shed a few before I hit the beaches!!

I spent my first 8 years sharing attention and toys with my sister Abby, but I kind of think that it would be more fun for me to get to have all the lovies and greenies to myself from now on!! I'm a calm and easy-going girl unless I feel like I need to compete for attention - I need a family who loves me lots!! It would pawbably be best for me to go to a furever home where there are only boy doggies, if there are other doggies there.

I am fine with cats (India, the beautiful black kitty with PALS, is kinda my half-sister I guess!) and I haven't been around a whole lot of 2-legged kids, but the ones I've known have been just fine. I am mostly house-trained, but since things have been kind of foncusing lately, I will appreciate it if you understand that I might need a little refresher course.

The first person I owned is moving to a new apartment and they don't allow beautiful girls like me there. All I need is someone to love me, especially someone with a good lap to curl up in and great arms for hugging me!!

Ginger's adoption donation is $85 paid to Poweshiek Animal League Shelter. For more information about adopting this sweetheart, contact Trudy at [email protected] or 641-593-6394.
