Ginger has found her forever home with the Ripleys in Lexington, MA
Ginger is a sweet, sweet, 5 mo old puppy who was found abandoned by a lake in rural TN. She was starving and skinny. We aren't sure of her breed mix. She has the face of Rhodesian Ridgeback, but a much smaller body. She has small-ish paws so she won't be a large dog. She currently weighs just 24 pounds as of 10/8/08. When found, she had a dislocated back hip which we had the vet explore (actually opened her, planning to do surgical repair, but found that it was a fracture that has healed and would have caused too much trauma to break and re-pin so left it alone). We need a forever home for this little sweetie, who may end up with a slight leg length discrepancy as she grows. She runs and jumps normally, no problems at all with activity on that hip and leg. She is fine with cats, all people, and other dogs. She is working on her crate training and house training. If interested, please fill out the online application by clicking on the app link below. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
