GiGi

This is GiGi she is 2 1/2 year old Shepherd/Husky mix who weighs 65lb. GiGi was recently returned to the rescue. After being back with her foster family they noticed she was limping off and on. A trip to the vet revealed that she has spondulosis of the spine or Disseminated Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis Which is very common for older dogs but GiGi is only 2 1/2 and her spine looks like it is 12. Since GiGi has been on Dasuquin and Gabapentin and her foster family has taught her not to jump off things she has been doing great. She loves to play with toys and chew on bones. She loves for you to pet her and rub her tummy. GiGi is looking for someone who will walk her daily and maybe even take her swimming every once and awhile to help keep her at healthy weight. While GiGi loves to go do things she also loves to take a nap with you and would love a window she can watch out. GiGi does requires a fence. She is good with kids but with her back older kids would be better for her. She is housebroke. Her foster family leaves her out while they are gone and she does well. She gets along with most dogs but a meet and greet would be a must with a new fur friend. She is not cat friendly. GiGi is spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $135.
