Gidget-Adopted

Gidget is a 2-3 yr old mix of something small..she resembles a Shihtzu/Yorkie mix, or Lhasa mix or something of the sort. She is about 13lbs.

She was surrendered by a disabled person that could not care for her anymore. She didn't even have a name. She was bounced around, belonged to a drug dealer, give away, then given away again. It is apparent that she doesn't fully trust people yet, but she is working on it. She is in good health and spirits. Quiet for the most part...except for breakfast and dinner time, then she gets quite excited and barks for her meal...she thinks its great to get two meals a day!

She is mostly housetrained, but has the very occasional accident if noone is paying attention to her, she will need a little work and consistency in this department but is doing great for the most part. She is great with other dogs and cats, she would LOVE a small (15-20lbs) dog to play with. Playtime with other dogs is her favorite time of day!! I am really only looking for a home with a playful dog in it. Her only real JOY in life is in playing with another dog. She likes people and thinks we are pretty ok..and occasionally (finally after a month) will even play with me if I initiate it, but she does not fully trust people yet and takes a long time to bond..she has to KNOW she can really trust you first...but she LOVES other dogs, and deserves to find the enjoyment in life she has been missing for so long.

She can be 'talkative' and stubborn from time to time like a Yorkie, so even though she has never shown aggression, even when tested, she will not be placed with kids under 10.
