Gertrude

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application Gertrude or Gerti for short is an adorable and sweet senior gal. She was surrendered by her owner after personal medical expenses became too much. Gertrude is currently undergoing treatment for her skin, ears and eye issues. She is a dream in the kennel, on a walk, with dogs, with people, you name it she's perfect for it. She originally was not a fan of her eye and ear medications and it took a little finessing to complete those. She is already feeling so much better as she has been super social and playful with anyone she has interacted with. She is realizing that the medications are not actually hurting her and feeling better so she has been doing well with her eye medications already so I know it will not take much longer to for her to understand that only good things are coming from people giving her these weird things. She is still currently on ear and eye medications and has a few more weeks on those. She came with matting and extremely overgrown nails in pads, her little feet are still swollen and she has a foot soak a few times a week for the wounds that were inflicted. She adores all attention so she loves all the grooming. She was a little wiggly for nails originally but hey, who wouldn't with the pain she was in before. She is absolutely soaking up all the love and attention she is getting. She will need someone knowledgeable in administering various medications for dogs. She will need regular grooming due to her breed and skin issues that she is working through.
