When Gentle Ben's family decided they had too many pets, Ben was the one they turned over to Animal Control. Ben is a 2-3 year old Mastiff mix male who weighs 75 lbs. He's a truly striking dog, well cared for and quite healthy. And yes, Gentle Ben is wonderfully gentle and obedient. He's good on a leash and enjoys going for walks and being outside. His size and strength might seem ominous but he is one easy-going good guy who is no problem at all to control. Like any dog, he needs his exercise but what he wants and needs even more is companionship. Gentle Ben misses his people. Cats hold no interest for him and other dogs are OK but nothing more. Gentle Ben is not feeling much like playing these days. He's waiting for someone to take him home; someone who sees him for the loyal companion and loving housemate he will be. Have you the room in your heart and home for this fine dog? GENTLE BEN really needs you to step up quickly - because Animal Control is overfull!
