Calling all Shepherd lovers!!! Gena is a gorgeous 2 year old GSD mix weighing 45 lbs. She was rescued from living life on a short chain in rural MS. She is now happily enjoying life in a foster home and loves being where her people are, especially if that includes AC on a hot day. She is great with all kids (see pictures), good with other dogs (especially those of a similar size), but will chase cats. Shepherds are very smart dogs and Gena has already received some professional training. She walks well on leash and is both house and crate trained. She would do well in an active home with an active family. Beautiful, sweet, loving and smart...what an amazing combination! You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old.
