Meet Gemma, a stunning 3-year-old pit bull terrier with a heart as big as her 60-pound frame. This lovely lady is the perfect blend of calm and sweet, making her an ideal companion for a loving family. Gemma takes treats gently, knows basic commands, and is both crate and house trained, having never had an accident inside.
We absolutely adore Gemma's striking looks—her pointed ears and her unique eyes, one brown and one blue, make her a real head-turner. Her smile is infectious, brightening up any room she walks into.
Gemma is fantastic with kids, having lived with two young ones and shown nothing but patience and affection. She does well with other dogs, including her lab and pittie friends, as well as small dogs and puppies. She's currently teaching two crazy puppies to use pee pads and even puts the pads in their crate—she's quite the mentor! However, she prefers to avoid the overly hyper dogs and thrives in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Though Gemma is generally easy-going, she's not particularly fond of rain or wet grass. She prefers the comfort of indoors but loves the opportunity to play outside and go for walks. She's a laid-back walker, only pulling slightly when something interesting catches her nose.
Currently living in a home with several large dogs, Gemma has adapted well. She’s great at the vet, meeting new dogs with ease, and has shown excellent recall in the yard. She’s been an excellent housemate, showing no signs of food aggression or destructive behavior.
Gemma's ideal home would be one where she can enjoy both indoor relaxation and outdoor playtime. She’s crate trained and comfortable being left alone in her crate when needed.
If you're looking for a gentle, well-mannered, and loving companion who enjoys a good mix of play and relaxation, Gemma might just be your perfect match. Bring Gemma into your home, and you'll quickly see why she's such a gem!
