My Story

You know how when people get sick, we take some meds, sleep a lot and recover? Well, when shelter dogs get sick, they get euthanized. This is Gary and he found himself in the shelter back in December of 2022. Just a stray like so many others. And just like them, he found himself very sick during an extreme cold snap. This scary flu was spreading fast and all of the shelters in Oklahoma were going on intake holds. A death sentence for so many dogs, in and out of the shelters. But not for Gary, H3 was able to pull him and stop his story from ending in a black trash bag. He had to spend a lot of time quarantined away from the other dogs but slowly, Gary got better. Just like with people, healing takes time. Now, Gary is a staff favorite! And as much as we love him, it is time to find him a home of his very own. This handsome dude always tells it like it is, in the typical husky way, loud and sassy! He does not like to share his food or his bed. He does well in the pack, as long as they are medium energy like him. Loves treats! Gary has a smile that will melt your heart and get him out of trouble in an instant. He gives the best cuddles, and he will follow his person to the end of the Earth, as long as you love him. So, if anyone out there needs a tanning partner, Gary would love to chill with you since his favorite thing to do is sit in the sun and soak up the rays!
