My Story

For those who don't know sweet Garnets story. December 27, 2022 Garnets home burt to the ground.  Poor Garnet was severely burnt over most of his body.  His owner had just lost everything and had not place for Garnet and Angel to go.  So I and another foster agreed to help.  Their owner was giving them up but later decided she wasn't ready. I kept Garnet and Debbie took Angel. Poor Garnet took 6 month of extremely painful treatment of burn ointment applied 6 times a day a lot of meds, pain meds, antibiotic, sub Q fluids, forced feeding because this throat was also burnt.  Watching his skin slung off. At first Garnet could hardly move the pain was so bad and he was so weak. No one thought he would survive and against all odds unbelievably Garnet made it through,  he wanted to live. Garnet is scared for life but I personally think he looks great.  Where he only has skin no hair is so thin that if he rubs it on something it can open and bleed.  Garnet is the sweetest boy.  His owner asked if after loosing everything if she could have them back in July.  We felt it was right not to let her after she lost everything.  Now she decided it would be in Garnets best interest for us to find him a great home. Garnet is a fawn with black mask mastiff, he was born September 17, 2020, he is 170 lbs. Garnet is well and healthy and just got neutered .   Garnet is up to date on vaccines, he is on heartworm prevention, we had him micro chipped with Home Again.   Garnet is looking for and amazing home with a lot of loving to give.  Garnet is a true Miracle when I think about what he with through and the pain for me to touch him to treat all the burns over his body, I am still surprised he made it. Garnet got the other dogs as far as they could get in the fenced area and Garnet stayed between the fire and his friends, they only had tiny burns.  Garnet saved and protected them.
